Bio-magnification is defined as the process of increasing of toxic chemicals or any other chemical subsequently with increase in the trophic level in an ecosystem.

In the process of bio-magnification, the levels of anything consumed at a lower trophic level keeps on increasing as the trophic levels increase. For example if an organism on the lowest trophic level consumes something toxic, the time by which it reaches the upper trophic level it gets magnified.
