ANSWER;
Biogas is a type of biofuel that is naturally produced from the decoposition of organic waste. When organic matter, such as food scraps and animal waste, break down in an anaerobic environment (an environment absent of oxygen) they release a blend of gases, primarily methane and carbon dioxide.
Because this decomposition happens in an anaerobic environment, the process of producing biogas is also known as anaerobic digestion.

The steps are involved in obtaining biogas are:
1. Mixing (slurry of cattle- dung and water).

2. Digesting (cattle-dung undergoing decomposition by anaerobic bacteria).

3. Formation of biogas (mixture of methane,Co2,H2 and H2S).

4. Spent slurry (residue left after the formation of biogas).
