Biological magnification refers to a condition, where there is an increase in the concentration of toxic substances at a successive trophic levels, whereas DDT undergoes several biomagnifications when it gets washed away from the fields and enters water bodies. For example, when a DDT is entering a water body with 0.003ppm it undergoes many biological magnifications while it undergoes different trophic levels.
