  • Aristotle is regarded as Father of Biology.
  • Biology is divided into three major branches-

Botany- It is the study of plant life. Theophrastus is the father of Botany.

Zoology- It is the study of animal life. Aristotle is the father of Zoology.

Microbiology- It is the study of microscopic organisms. Antony van Leeuwenhoek is the father of Microbiology.
