biology is the study of living organisms, that is all plants and animals including humans. it's branches r mainly divided in 3 parts ,in terms of major kind of organisms, special grp of organisms and in terms of approach on studying it

Biology =It is the branch of science in which living beings are studied.

Bios =Life and Logos= Study .
Therefore study of life is called biology.

☆The term biology was first coined by lamarck and Treviranus in the year 1801.

Biology has two main branches :
1.)Botany=Study of different aspects of plants.
'Theophratus is know as father of Botany as well as zoology'

2.)Zoology=Study of various aspects of animals.
'Aristotle' is know as the father of zoology as well as Biology.
