When harmful chemicals enter in the food chain and gets concentrated at each tropic level then it is known as Biological Magnification or Biomagnification.

OR

The increase in concentration of harmful substances in the body of the living organism at each tropic level is known as Biological Magnification.

The levels of Biological Magnification different at different levels of the ecosystem. It will be maximize at highest tropic levels and minimum at lowest tropic levels.

Ex :- In Humans; Biological Magnification is the most or maximum.
