Biomass energy is termed as an energy which is obtained by using organic sources such as plants and animals.
The use of bioenergy or biomass energy has become crucial in the case of transport industry as they largely depend on energy generated from non-renewable sources.
The use of bioenergy greatly reduces the carbon foot print and also controls the emission of greenhouse gases. Wood and agricultural products seem to produce maximum amount of bioenergy. The sewage waste also is used in biogas production.
