Answer:

BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is a program used by a computer's microprocessor to start the computer system after it is turned on. It also manages the flow of data between the computer's operating system (OS) and connected devices such as the hard drive, video adapter, keyboard, mouse.

Functions of BIOS :

The BIOS detects, configures, tests, and connects the computer's hardware to the OS immediately after the computer is turned on. The combination of these steps is called the boot process.

Four main BIOS functions perform these tasks:

Power On Self Test (POST). It tests the PC hardware before loading the OS.

Bootstrap loader. This specifies the location of the OS.

Software/Drivers. It identifies the software and drivers that interface with the OS while running.

Additional metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) setup. It is a configuration program which allows users to change system settings and hardware. CMOS is the name of non-volatile memory in BIOS.

This is a problem of Computer.
