A Black hole is a star in the universe. It is shrunk so much after burning itself. It is very very very very thick dense and strongly packed. So its density is very very high, radius is small.  Its mass is very high.  So the gravitational field on it is very very high.

The gravity on a black hole is so high that even light rays cannot escape from the black hole.  So we cannot see a black hole in space. The gravitational attraction force exerted by a black hole is felt only, but it cannot be seen by our eyes.

A black hole is known by the absence of light from that region. A Black hole can pull massive matter towards it.

There millions of stars and black holes in our milky way galaxy. There is one very huge black hole in the center of Milky way galaxy. Though it is bigger than Sun, it is so far away that we are not affected by it.
