Many fabrics are blended to get the best qualities of both.

For example:-
Cotton is very wrinkly but comfortable to wear.
If to is blended with polyester, It becomes a wrinkle free non shrinking fabric known as Poly-Cotton

Polyester is generally more affordable than cotton, making a 50/50 blend a good compromise between polyester's price and cotton's feel. A shirt made from a cotton blend is easy to care for. It's less likely to shrink or wrinkle than a shirt made from pure cotton, and it's often easier to clean. A common blend is cotton/poly, or poly/cotton plain weave. Which ever is the higher fabric content is what's named first. Poly/cotton is used for everything from curtains, scrubs uniforms, perma press pants and it's mostly made for ease of laundering and wrinkle free qualities.
