the pressure that is exerted by the blood on the walls of arteries is know as blood pressure. it is measured by a device called sphygmomanometer. systolic pressure is when the arteries contract and diastolic when it relaxes. the normal systolic pressure is 120mm and diastolic pressure is 80mm
