Archimedes Principle states that all bodies which are floating, partially submerged or fully submerged will experience an upward force called the buoyant force or upthrust
-Archimedes Principle explains the upthrust force on a body.
According to this principle:
Upthrust = Volume of fluid displaced(V) * Density of fluid (d) * gravitational force (g)
The Law Of Floatation states that the weight of any floating body will be equal to the weight of the fluid displaced.
The Law Of Floatation explains the reason for floating
According to this law :
Mass of body(m) * gravitational force= Mass of water(m) * gravitational force
