brain is the main part of human nervous system.
The primary functions of the brainstem include: relaying information between the brain and the body; supplying some of the cranial nerves to the face and head; and performing critical functions in controlling the heart, breathing and consciousness. Between the cerebrum andbrainstem lie the thalamus and hypothalamus.

The central neural or central nervous system is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The brain in its own is the most complex and advanced (according to its wide varsity of functions bound to it) in primates, particularly in human beings. This complexity of the neural system has increased during its course of evolution. It is due to the development of or formation of such complex organs and systems in animals that brain got connected and completed the whole neural system as being the main organ itself in the system.
There are many functions which the brain is carrying around the different parts and the lobes. Some of them, are noted below.
1) It has a main role to play when it comes to the inner monitoring of the most complex thoughts and actions, creative ideas, translation of perceptions and memories into plans of muscle movement, reality testing by sheer judgement, most importantly controls the intellectual ability to abstract, reasoning, decision making, expression of contrasting emotions, willpower of the held strong and finally the correct behaviour and a sense of differentiating personality. (Frontal lobe associated with the functions)
2) The decoding and interpretation of visual information; shape and colour are done through Occipital lobe of the brain.
