Brownian motion, also called Brownian movement, any of various physical phenomena in which some quantity is constantly undergoing small, random fluctuations.

The random movement of microscopic particles suspended in a liquid or gas, caused by collisions with molecules of the surrounding medium. Also called Brownian movement.

brownian movement was named after the scientist Robert Brown.the phenomenon by which the colloidal particles are in continuous random motion is called Brownian movement
