what is called acid rain

acid rain is a result of air pollution some of this gas (especially nitrogen oxide and Sulphur dioxide )react with tiny droplet of water in cloud to form Sulphuric and nitric acid .The Rain from this cloud then fall is very weak acid .which is why it is known as acid rain .
