As we all know, transpiration is the natural process of removing the excess water in the form of vapours from the aerial parts of the plant called stomata. Other than removing excess water, this biological process is also involved in pulling water molecules from the root to the tip of the plants.
Transpiration is called necessary evil because the increase in the rate of transpiration results in drying up (wilting) of the leaves. As the leaves turn dry, the plant eventually dies.
