Cash Reserve Ratio or CRR refers to the proportion of total deposits which commercial banks have to keep with central banks

Commercial banks are required to keep a specified percentage of their cash reserves with the central bank. This is known as Cash reserve ratio. This ratio is is used by the central bank to control the credit in the country.
