1. Catenation is the ability of a chemical element to form a long chain-like structure via a series of covalent bonds.

2.Catenation is self linking property of C atoms

3. C atoms combine with other c atoms forming
branched chains  or cyclic closed chains or long chains.

4.The property is predominant among carbon atoms, significant among sulfur and silicon atoms, and slightly present among germanium, nitrogen, selenium, and tellurium atoms.

Catenation is the process of carbon atoms to form covalent bond with other atoms of carbon.

 \huge \textbf{or}

Carbon has a unique ability or property to form covalent bond with other atom of carbon giving rise to large number of carbon compounds .

 \huge \textbf{or}
