Cell division is the process by which a parent cell divides to produce new progeny from them. In budding new individual arises as an outgrowth( bud) from the parent. The bud grows , develops organs like the parent and then usually detaches itself. If the bud is formed on the external surface, it is called exogenous bud but in some cases it could be an internal bud or a specialized form like gemmules in sponges.v
