A cell is the basic building blocks of all living things.

The cell was first discovered by Robert Hooke. One observation was done from the thin slices of the bottle cork. Hooke discovered multiple pores and named them cells.

Functions of a compound microscope :

It is used to magnify the image of a small object. It comes with 2 or more lenses.
