What is Cell Mebrane?How does it work?


manas77: it is a selectively permiable membrane which covers the cell . it protects the cell from damage and keeps the orgenelles within the cell,it allows the movement of very selected things inside the cell for example oxygen . ......hope this helps u

The cell membrane is selectively permeable to ions and organic molecules and controls the movement of substances in and out ofcells. The basic function of the cell membrane is to protect thecell from its surroundings. It consists of the phospholipid bilayer with embedded proteins.
