Membrane surrounding cytoplasm is called cell membrane. Thus, the cell membrane is the outer most covering of a cell. In bacteria, plants and animals, the presence of the cell membrane is seen. Cell membrane is living, thin, flexible , delicate, and selective permeable membrane. Cell membrane constitutes 75 % phospholipid and remaining 25% of protein cholesterol and polysaccharide.
