M.J.Schleiden:-

He was a German botanist, proposed that all plants are made up of cells. He discovered it in the year 1838.

Theodar Schwann:-

A German zoologist, had the same notion but about animals. He discovered it in the year 1839.

Work of these two scientists paved the way for the discovery of the CELL THEORY.
