Cellular respiration

Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic processes that takes place in cells which convert biochemical energy into ATP from nutrients.

There are two types of cellular respiration, they are

1. Aerobic cellular respiration

2. Anaerobic cellular respiration

C6H12O6 + 2 NAD+ + 2 ADP + 2 P → 2 pyruvic acid, (CH3(C=O)COOH + 2 ATP + 2 NADH + 2 H+

C6H12O6 → 2 CH3CH(OH)COOH + 2 CO2 + 2 ATP

C6H12O6 → 2 C2H5OH + 2 CO2 + 2 ATP
