centrifugation is a process of separating fractions of systems in a centrifuge. The most basic separation is to sediment a pellet at the bottom of the tube, leaving a supernatant at a given centrifugal force.

Applications of centrifugation...
1) used in Diagnostic Laboratories for blood and urine tests.
2) using dairies and home to separate butter from cream.
3) used in washing machines to squeeze out water from white clothes.

Hope it helps you!!
