The acceleration acting towards the centre in case of the circular motion is called as the Centripetal acceleration.
The direction of the centripetal acceleration is always towards the centre and along the Radius.
In case of the uniform circular motion, it is the only acceleration or you can say force which acts throughout the motion.
It is only responsible for the Rotation.
The Formula to calculate the Centripetal acceleration is ⇒
Fc = mv²/r
Hope it helps .
