By 19th century, the Urban population both men and women , encouraged individual freedom in spite of this news spirit of individualism how ever men and women did not enjoy equal rights this is called Chairtism

Chartism:

  • Chartism is a middle working-class movement for parliamentary reform in Britain. In 18th century brought economic depression which led to acting reforms.
  • But the working class which includes industrial and agricultural members strongly dislike the led down new conditions of the reformed act like long hours and poor working condition.
  • These social and economic reasons led to the movement of the working-class under the leadership of Feargus. But it failed due to diversity in ideologist and intellectual aims that were required to amend the revolution.
