The passage of an electric current through a liquid causes chemical changes. This process is known as electrolysis. Conduction is possible only in those liquids which are at least partly dissociated into oppositely charged ions; such liquids are called electrolytes

Answer:

Some liquids are good conductors of electricity and some are poor conductors. О Most liquids that conduct electricity are solutions of acids, bases and salts. О The passage of an electric current through a conducting liquid causes chemical reactions. The resulting effects are called chemical effects of currents.
