what is chemical reactions four types of chemical reations **two exmples of too types of chemical reations you have listed in question 2describe the process of birth
Answers
Answer:
four types of chemical reaction is combination reaction, decomposition reaction, displacement reaction and double displacement reaction
Ex. Mg +O ≈ MgO
CaCO3 ≈ Cao + co2
I'm using ≈ instead of arrow
Answer:
The four types of chemical reactions are as follow:
1. combination reaction : That type of reaction in which two or more than two elements or compounds react together to form a single product.
for ex. Cu + O2 ——> CuO
H2 + O2 ——> H2O
here, only single product is forming, that's why it's a combination reaction.
2. Decomposition reaction : That type of reaction in which a single reactant decomposes to give two or more than two products on supplying energy.
for ex. CaCO3 ——> CaO + CO2
Zn(OH) 2 ——> ZnO + H2O
here, a single reactant is decomposing to give two or more than two products , that's why it's a decomposition reaction. It's opposite to combination reaction.
3. Displacement reaction: That type of reaction in which a more reactive element displaces less reactive element from it's compound. It will become more clear my knowing about the reactivity series.
for ex. Zn + CuSO4 ——> ZnSO4 + Cu
here, Zn is more reactive than copper hence it is displacing it from it's compound.
Mg + Al2(SO4) 3 ——> MgSO4 + Al
in both reaction a more reactive element is displacing less reactive element from their compounds. hence, it's a displacement reaction.
4. Double Displacement Reaction: That type of reaction in which elements are exchanged among compounds. means two times displacement takes place.
for ex. Pb(NO3) 2 + KI ——> PbI2 + KNO3
Na2SO4 + BaCl2 ——> NaCl + BaSO4
in both reactions the compounds are exchanging their elements among themselves....
hence, it is a double displacement reaction..
hope it will help you....
