What is chloroflurocarbons? Why should their use be discouraged?

Chlorofluorocarbons are fully halogenated paraffin hydrocarbons that contain only carbon, chlorine, and fluorine, produced as volatile derivative of methane, ethane, and propane. They are also commonly known by the DuPont brand name Freon.

chlorofluorocarbons is a green house gas.
it is also written as CFC . it is very harmful for our environment . it releases lots of pollution to the environment which effect our ozone layer . because of it is responsible for ozone depletion and environmental pollution that's why it's use is discouraged.
