a complex process by which green parts of the plant synthesis organic food in the form of carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and water in the preseiof sunlight and chlorophyll

1-absorbtion of light energy by chlorophyll
2-conversionof light energy into chemical energy and splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen
3-reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates.
