United States citizens have certain duties and responsibilities to vote, know and obey the laws of their nation, take education seriously, understand the foundation of the United States government and the nation's fundamental values, be familiar with federal and local governments, understand what it means to be an active citizen, understand their rights, learn and understand the economic fundamentals of the United States.
