Types of clauses
1) Main clause
- Every main clause will follow this pattern:
Subject+ verb = complete thought.
Example- Lazy students whine.
2) Subordinate clause
- A subordinate clause will follow this pattern:
Subordinate conjunction+ subject+ verb = Incomplete thought
Example- Whenever lazy students whine
3) Relative clause
- a relative clause will begin with a relative pronoun or a relative adverb.
The pattern look like:
