a cloud burst occurs in monsoon clouds when they move towards the northern direction i.e towards the higher altitudes, as the heavy clouds become heavier due to the accumulated water they experience a sudden imbalances and it results in the cloud burst and heavy rain fall in the form of hail. The rate of rain fall in this case can go upto 75mm per minute
