Co - altion government is a case in which no party get a clear majority in the respective constitutional election area so two parties come together and form the government with clear planing of treaties among the party

For example - The state Karnataka is governed by the parties -- JDS - Congress

A coalition government is a type of government where several party combine together to form a single government.

Parties do this in order to get the majority support.

In India also it's practised. For example : Years back BSP and SP formed a coalition party so as to get the governance system under them.
