The principal body cavity that present in most of the animals located between the body wall and intestinal canal.

It's important because they allow separation or compartmentalization of the different biological functions in the body.

Animals which lack coelomate have to rely on the diffusion like transport to provide important nutrients to throughout the body.

Three main types of animals on the basis of coelomate :

1. Coelomate
2. pseudo coelomate
3. Non coelomate.

Hope it's useful.

All the best

The body cavity or the coelom is the space enclosed by the mesoderm where the internal organs are suspended.
They are important because they allow for the separation and compartmentalization of different biological functions in the body. Animals lacking coelom have to rely on diffusion to transport important nutrients throughout the body.
