What is collenchyma??????

Collenchyma cells are found in ground tissue of plants and have very primary walls but they may have some occasional thickening also. Their cell walls are made of cellulose and pectin.

They provide extra support in the growing plants and leaves and help them by giving strength and support.

1> It is found in the layer underneath the epidermis.

2>It is found near the vascular tissue.
