A compound is a substance formed when two or more chemical elements are chemically bonded together. The two main types of compound bonds are covalent bonds and ionic bounds.

A compound is a pure substance made up of two or more elements combined in a definite proportion by mass.It have fixed composition. Can be broken down into elements by chemical change.Example:-NaCl,sugar,water,methane, etc.
