computer integrated manufacturing involves a computer and equipments that can scan a object and machine or print the 3d model of object during scanning it sub branch are CAD/ CAM, Rapid protyping, CNC/VMC machining they use high end software like catia, solidworks,matlab etc to do the simulation before the real production of product.
