Every polygon is either convex or concave. The difference between convex and concave polygons lies in the measures of their angles. For a polygon to be convex, all of its interior angles must be less than 180 degrees. Otherwise, the polygon is concave.

Convex polygons :-



If each of the interior angles of a polygon is less than 180°, then it is called convex polygon.

Note: In this type of polygon, no portion of the diagonals lies in the exterior.



Concave:-

having an outline or surface that curves inwards like the interior of a circle or sphere
