A dilute acid has a relatively smaller amount of solute dissolved in the solvent. 3. In a solution of a strong acid there would be solvated ions present, but no (or only a very small proportion of) associated molecules present. A dilute acid is one that is not very concentrated.

concentrated acid means that it has more solute as compared to water.....but diluted acid means that it has more water than solute....
