what is conjunction with example for my kids
Answers
A conjunction is part of speech used to join two or more parts of speech (for example: adverb, noun, pronoun, etc.). Conjunctions help to transform large complex sentences into a short and simple one.
Apparently, there are three types of conjunctions:
1. Coordinating Conjunctions (Examples: and, but ,so)
Eg. Slow and steady wins the race.
2. Correlative Conjunctions (Examples: either/or, neither/nor)
Eg. Neither is John in the classroom, nor is he in the playground.
3. Subordinating Conjunctions (Examples: although, though)
Eg. Although she studied hard, she could not pass the examination.
Conjunctions are the words used to join two or more words, sentences or phrases.
Connector act like linker.
"and", "but", "because", "as", "though", "although" are commonly used conjunctions.
Examples:
- Ajay and Vijay are best friends.
- They're happy because they have holidays from today.
