• Connective tissue is found in between the layer of other tissues everywhere in the body.
• The cells of connective tissues are loosely spaced and embedded in inter-cellular matrix. The matrix maybe jelly like, fluid dense or rigid.
• It supports other tissues in the body.
• The connective tissues are composed of three main components : Fibers, Ground substance, cells.
• In the central nervous system, the three outer membranes that envelop the brain and spinal cord are composed of connective tissues.
