\bold{Contact \:force: }

•The forces which act on bodies when they are in physical contact are called contact forces.

•Types of contact forces: frictional force, normal reaction force, tension force as applied through string etc.

\bold{Non\: contact- force: }

•The force experience by bodies even without physical touched are called non- contact force or force at a distance.

•Types of non - contact force are : Magnetic force, electrostatic force and gravitational force.

\mathfrak{\large{Contact\: Force}}

  • Force that act only when there is physical contact between two interacting objects are known as contact force.
  • Example :- Muscular Force and frictional Force.

\mathfrak{\large{Non-Contact\: Force}}

  • Force is being applied Without touching the body. This is called action at a distance force. It is also called Non - Contact Force.
  • Example:- Gravitational Force, Magnetic Force and electrostatics force.
