As we know green revolution related to farm and agriculture so....!
The Green Revolution, or Third Agricultural Revolution, refers to a set of research and the development of technology transfer initiatives occurring between the 1930s and the late 1960s (with prequels in the work of the agrarian geneticist Nazareno Strampelli in the 1920s and 1930s), that increased agricultural production worldwide, particularly in the developing world, beginning most markedly in the late 1960s.

hey friend,

Green Revolution is related to agriculture. It was started by Dr. M.S. Swaminathan in 1960-1980.

In India population is growing day by day and this ever growing population has created the ever growing demand for food. And agricultural lands are getting less day by day due to defforestation, constructional activities, etc.

So, to ful-fill the needs of people this green revolution was started. After this revolution, we are able to grow high yielding, disease resistant and pest resistant crops which takes short duration of time to grow and cultivate. Also, very effective and powerful fertilisers, weedicides, pesticides and fungicides were introduced to increase the crop yield and to reduce agricultural losses. Different tools and machinaries were also introduced like harvester, thresher, seed-drill, tractors, etc.

These revolution has completely changed the Indian agriculture.
