Coulomb's law states that: The magnitude of the electrostatic force of attraction or repulsion between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of the magnitudes of charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. The force is along the straight line joining them.

Coulumb's Law:

Force of attraction between two stationary point charges is directly proportional to the product of the point charges and inversely proportional to the square of the separation between them and acts along the straight line joining the two point charges.

It is written as F= k(q₁*q₂)/r²

Where F =Force of attraction

k = Coulumb's constant = 1/4π*∈₀

q₁ & q₂= two point charges

r= separation between the two charges

When putting the coulumb's constant in the equation;

F = {(1/4π*∈₀)*(q₁*q₂)}/r²
