Some of the crop our first grown in the nurseries and then transferred to the main field. This process known as transplantation.

In other words, the process of rising seed on nursery beds and then planting them to the main field is called transplanting .

Some advantages of this method are :-

● It allows the parameters to select the most appropriate and healthy seedlings .

● It enables the plant to develop such healthier root and shoot system.

● This method help the farmers to get a healthier yield, as the seedlings selected to be grown on the main field are the healthiest one.

A common disadvantages :-

● Transplantation requires extra effort or labour.
