There are two types of crops in India :
1)KHARIF CROPS -The crops which are grown in RAINY SEASON are called KHARIF CROPS. It is grown in June-July and harvested in October. It is mainly grown in rainy season because Khalid crops need substantial amount of water to grow.
FOR EXAMPLE -Paddy, maize, millet, cotton, etc.
2)-RABI CROPS-The crops which are grown in winter season are called Rabi crops. It is sown in October and harvested in March. It is mainly grown in winter season because RABI CROPS don't need water to grow.
