what is crystallisation

Lokesh41: Crystallization is also a chemical solid–liquid separation technique, in which mass transfer of a solute from the liquid solution to a pure solid crystalline phase occurs. In chemical engineering crystallization occurs in a crystallizer.
Shubham111111: when a solid substance form from their solutions that is known as crystallization.

Crystallisation is the process that separates pure solid in the form of crystals from a solution.

Now, lets see an example for better understanding,
Que. How can u make pure crystals out of impure copper sulphate ?

Ans.
• we can make pure crystals out of impure copper sulphate by the process of crystallisation.
• Make a saturated solution ( a type of solution in which no more salute can be added ) of copper sulphate.
• filter out insoluble impurities.
• heat the solution with constant stearing so that it doesn't boil, till it's crystallisation point.
• Put the mixture in a China dish and keep it over cold water taken in a breaker ( water should not touch the china dish ).
• keep it undisturbed for few hours.
• Now we will get the pure crystals out of copper sulphate ( soluble impurities are also separated ).

Hope it helps

Crystallization, or crystallisation, is the process of atoms or molecules arranging into a well-defined, rigid crystal lattice in order to minimize their energetic state. The smallest entity of crystal lattice is called a unit cell, which can accept atoms or molecules to grow a macroscopic crystal.
