Heat can pass through a vacuum. Heat is transferred by thermal radiation. Heat cannot conduct through a vacuum because that requires molecules to move to carry the thermal energy.

The energy which is moving from one system to another is known as heat. The transferor dispersion of heat can occur by means of three main mechanisms, conduction, convection and radiation: CONDUCTION: It is the flow of heat through solids and liquids by vibration and collision of molecules and free electrons.
